Mr Ciaran O’Boyle is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon and holds an Honorary (Consultant) Assistant Professor post with the University of Nottingham. He has a wide range of expertise in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, burn care, trauma, scarring, skin cancer and surgery for facial paralysis. He is a member of the British Burn Association (BBA) and on the BBA Clinical Outcomes Group, is a member of the International Society for Burn Injuries (ISBI) and is a faculty member of the West Midlands Advanced Plastic Surgery Course. Ciaran is also the Clinical Lead for the National Repository Centre and Clinical Skills Centre, based at Nottingham University Hospitals.

 Ciaran has published widely in the medical literature and regularly presents research at national and international meetings.  He also acts as a reviewer of scientific articles submitted for publication to four medical journals. He teaches undergraduate medical students and postgraduate surgeons and is an examiner with the University of Nottingham.

Ciaran O’Boyle regularly receives instructions for medical assessments and expert opinion in cases of personal injury, scarring and disfigurement.
